New Feature - Customize Target Table Names in Multi-Table

The Power of Multi-Table Auto-Migration

Rivery’s auto-migration feature streamlines data migration to the cloud by allowing for detection and mapping of multiple tables in the source database to tables in the destination cloud data warehouse through both standard and real-time (Change Data Capture) data synchronization protocols. This new feature allows for additional user control over individual target table mapping/naming.

How to set custom target table names in multi-table migrations (step-by-step)

  1. Click on the “Rivers” tab in the main menu.

  2. Select your data source to target river that conducts your data migration.

  3. Navigate to the “Source” tab, scroll down and ensure that “Multi-Tables” is selected as the River mode.

  4. Navigate to the “Mapping” tab.

  5. Check the image next to the schema that contains the tables that you want to load.

  6. Select the image next to the tables that you want to load.

  7. Select the image under “Table Name” next to the table that you selected and enter the desired table name in the prompt that follows and hit “OK”.

  8. Repeat steps 5 - 7 for any other tables that you desire to rename for loading into the destination cloud data warehouse.
